Since I remembered I had this journal, like, three seconds after the last time I posted a SOTP and cluttered up Rosie's journal with it, I'm trying to be good for this go-round and stay over here. ANYWAY.

State of Me: Pretty good! I've made it through most of the hectic time at work, which turned out to be both not as bananas as I'd feared and yet also differently bananas in ways I didn't expect, so. That was a thing. Still staring down the barrel of my last summer deadline (August 1), but after that things will hopefully go quiet-ish until November, which will be nice.

Also, still feeling super plugged in to my writing, which has been fantastic. I don't think I've ever had this much energy for writing and plotting and everything else, it's been great. And a lot of it is thanks to a lot of you, so, you know. Thanks for being great, pals. <3333

State of Rosie (now): OH BOY, SHE HAS HAD A SUMMER.

To recap: went to prom! got a boyfriend! got hella kidnapped by fucking goblins! became a songbird for a literal devil! got rescued, along with Charlie, by Sabrina and Nick, and became all the more embroiled in their little knot of connection with one another! became emancipated! moved in with Neil Perry and became one half of what I am obstinately calling Darrow's Cutest Midcentury Roommates!

And, last but certainly not least, lost her goddamn virginity to her shitty NPC boyfriend. So yeah, it's been a wild couple of months already. Both the gathering-ish housewarming post for her new apartment and her awkward morning-after EP are still wide open, so if you're so inclined, please don't hesitate to tag.

State of Rosie (later): Well, after so much activity, I figure it's only fair to just give her something quiet and gentle and do really nothing with her for the next little while.

Except that is a lie, because I am a meanie. So, in early August (shortly before her birthday, because I am actually the worst), she's getting her heart broke by said shitty NPC boyfriend.

Both the June plot and life meant that I wasn't able to lay as much of the groundwork for this as I'd initially wanted to, but effectively, the entire reason David asked her out in the first place is because he'd heard that Those Girls from the Children's Home are easy, and Rosie's going to find that out, and be both enraged and completely humiliated. All of her friends who'd like a piece of this guy once he breaks her heart are requested to take a number and form an orderly queue.

For the rumor part of this, I'd really like to make reference if I can to other (completely or mostly false) assumptions that might be floating around about some of the other girls who've lived at the Home, whether past or present, so if any of you would like to a) volunteer a pup or b) would like to suggest a rumor I can use, please let me know! It doesn't have to be anything major; I'm literally just thinking, like, regular-level school gossip (PDA in the hallway, so-and-so snuck out to a club, shenanigans in the back row at the movies, etc.) that can just lend shape to things. Maybe this is a weird way to explain it, idk.

After that, she's going to be very fragile for a while, understandably, so she'll need her friends around her. There's more coming down the pike for her, too, but at least some of that hinges on other people's plot plans, so I'm honestly not sure how much I can blather about that?

Basically, things are going to continue getting interesting for Rosalind Wilson, and I cannot wait.

I'm constantly torn between "protect" and "torment." Regardless, since she HAS BEEN THERE SORT OF, Bev would be super supportive when shit goes down. But I'm very mean, and it would also make sense, since she was still living there when she was dating Peter, and spending a lot of nights away from the Home (with Hopper, but, well, gossip). So this is super tempting. >_>

WE SHOULD <3333333 I need more of precious Rosie in my life always.
